    MYANBUILD 2020 IS BACK TO SPUR NEW OPPORTUNITIES IN MYANMAR’S BUILDING & CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY  
       
    Myanmar’s No.1 International Building and Construction Industry Exhibition is back to host its 2020 edition and to spur new business opportunities for the sector. Set to take place at the Myanmar Expo Hall, in Yangon from 19 to 21 November 2020, over 200 companies and brands are expected to participate, bringing a wide range of the latest building materials, construction machinery, and heavy equipment to the Industry Show.
 
       
     
       
    Myanmar’s construction industry had a value of more than US$9.5 billion, with a share of around 16.5% of the country’s GDP and is a major driver of the economy. For 2020, the sector is anticipated to be worth US$13.5 billion. Furthermore, Yangon’s population, one of the country’s main economic centres is estimated to grow by 3 million within the next 10 years, requiring major housing developments. This is set to open up massive investment opportunities for businesses in the building and construction sector, both foreign and local.

Thousands of industry professionals from all over the country are expected to visit the three-day event, making MYANBUILD 2020 Myanmar’s largest gathering for the building and construction sector. The Expo serves as an all-encompassing trade show for exhibitors to conduct market feasibility studies, seek local partners and distributors, increase existing market share, maintain relationship with key clients, and explore new opportunities.
